Consistency…. The Only Currency That Matters

It has been said that if you want to be taken seriously you have to be consistent.but I find inconsistency so prevalent in our society today.

Everybody wants loyalty, consistency, and somebody that won’t quit. But everybody forgets that to get that person, you have to be that person or work towards becoming that person. Tony Robbins says it beautifully…. it is not what we do once in a while that shapes our lives. It’s what we do consistently. We have become so accustomed to a microwave society, we want things done fast and quick and if we do not get or see the desired results in that short space of time we are ready to throw in the towel and move to supposedly greener pastures, only to get there to find the same disappointment it is the. same script. but with different players.

There was a period in my life where I can testify to this, and I wondered why I only encountered dead ends. After going around that mountain a few times I realised that it was my give up and go attitude that had brought this on, and I had to teach myself self will to stay in the game and not give up every time life did not go my way. I soon found out that consistency was better than rare moments of greatness.

To those of you who have come to the end of yourself, you could be tired and weary with the monotony of life, you could have lost your zeal to press on. Life is becoming the same monotone song that you sing every day. Do not let this hinder you from pursuing all that lies dormant in you, all those secret hopes and dreams, the one thing that makes your soul dance, go after it with new vigor and passion. Take all those broken dreams and let your willingness to be consistent about pursuing them breathe new life into them. being consistent is paramount, nothing can and will be achieved without it.

The same can be said for traits of reliabilty, sincerity, integrity, commitment, honesty, dependability these are such rare finds, set this course for your life to follow, and no matter what comes your way choose to embody these traits and not compromise on your decision, you will be amazed your consistency in these areas. will open you up to new heights in your life, a deeper sense of self-fulfillment.The bible makes reference in Hebrews 13.8. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. To me, this spells consistency and Christ’s life epitomised success. Success is an accumulation of small endeavors repeated day after day and in doing so you earn the reputation of being consistent and dependable, you become someone your friends and family can trust. Your life is now an example that society can look upon and use as a point of reference and regarded as a. conduit for change. Let consistency be the only currency that matters.
