Standing firm and grounded in these volatile troubled times is hard work and almost impossible. What do you do when you have done all you can, and the answers you are hoping for are nowhere in sight. You have given all you got to appease the situation but it is just not enough, instead, the load gets heavier the road gets harder and you just can’t seem to see your way through it. You have closed your heart to people around you, and most importantly you have become angry with God.
Nowhere in scripture does it say that you will live a stress-free, trouble free life, in fact, scripture confirms that in this life you will face perilous times (2 Tim 3.1) but……. do not get weary you will overcome. In order to stand and to overcome you got to know your strength and ability to withstand first.
If you are using the news, a political party, your associates, and friends as your gauge to determine the outcome of your troubles then you are only digging a deeper hole for yourself.
It is great to have a support structure and a sense of dependency on these things but as we would have it we live in an ever-changing world, people, governments, the economy, life. changes, and when this happens we start to question the authenticity of theses things and we lose our faith and hope, suddenly without warning we find ourselves on. shaky sinking sand.
What has helped me keep my sanity, and stability through all the changes that have occurred in my life was the strong foundation on which. I have built my life. Early in the game, I learned the importance of having my total reliance in God and this has empowered me to develop a stable fixed mind and heart . When the winds of uncertainty blew, being anchored in. God the solid rock enabled me to stand firm, strong and immovable. When I had no escape route I always found myself running back to God for safety and direction. through discipline and correction he lovingly always brought me back to safety and solid ground.
The winds of uncertainty could be blowing you off course and you have been trying to win the battle of life on your own initiatives with no way of escape in sight. I encourage you to stand on Jesus Christ the solid rock, he will not only bring you to safety but he will plant your feet on solid ground and equip you with tools for the journey ahead. (Psalm1.3……..such person is like a tree planted by flowing streams; it yields its fruit at the proper time, and its leaves never fall off.He succeeds in everything he attempts).
